Data: Export to Excel

Tables, Reports and Queries can be exported to Microsoft Excel so that you can analyze it with a powerful set of Formula and Data Tools.

 

For this example, please Save and Close the Movies by Genre Report. We'll choose a different Report: Movies by Year. 

 

Before You Begin: Open a Different Report

Go to All Access Objects->Reports.

Open a Report: Movies by Year.

The Report should open in Layout View.

Change the View to Print Preview.

 

4. Try it: Export to Excel

Go to Print Preview ->Data->Excel.

 

Export-Excel Spreadsheet: You will be prompted to Browse for a Folder. The default name for the spreadsheet is the name of the Report in Access. The File format is Excel 97-Excel 2003 Workbook (*.xls).

 

Click OK to create a spreadsheet. Keep going.
