Save as a Template

In Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint you can save a file as a Template if you wish. Microsoft Access has the same option.

 

This Mighty Access database can be saved as a Template and used to make a another application. There are many advantages to using a Template: The Forms are complete with logos and User Controls, such as the Combo Boxes.

 

2. Try it: Save as a Template

A COPY of the database is still open.

Go to File ->Save and Publish.

Go to Save Database As->Template.

Enter the following:

Name: Front Row Video Template.

Description: a movie rental database with four Tables and four Queries.

Category: User Templates

Include Data in Template: check Yes.

 

Click OK.
