Copy and Paste a Table

The previous pages demonstrated how to create a duplicate Table by using the Save Object As command.

 

Microsoft Access can Copy and Paste Objects as well. There are interesting options when you Paste a Table.

 

3. Try it: Copy a Table

Select a Table: tblCustomers

Right click the Table: tblCustomers.

Click Copy.

 

Try This, Too: Paste the Table

Right click the Table Group.

Select an option: Paste.

 

You will be prompted to enter the following:

Table Name: Copy of tblCustomers

Paste Options: Structure and Data

 

What Do You See? You can choose to keep the Table Structure only, without the Data if you wish. This is a good way to purge any sample records. Keep going...
