Test the Control

4. Before You Begin: Deselect the Combo

When you are working on a Control, you should see Handles in each corner, just like when you select a picture or chart. This is the Developer's view.

When you deselect the Combo Box. (Click on anything else) the Combo Box will look and behave as it should when a user clicks on it.

Try This: Test the Control

Go to the Combo Box and select a Client.

What If It Doesn't Work?

There are two parts to the test:

1. Can you click on the Combo Box and see the list of reference names?

2. Can you select an item from the list?

If you cannot see the list, then check the spelling of the Named Range.

Memo to Self: This control does NOT include the equals (=) sign in the Input Range, just the name of the Named Range.
