Save the Macro

When you complete the Macro recordings you need to save your work as a Macro-Enabled file. Macros are code. It is different than the default Excel file format. This page shows how to save your work. The next couple of pages discuss the security issues.

 

Try it: Save the Macro

Go to File->Save As.

 
What Do You See? The Save As window will prompt you to fill in the following:

 

Location: Your Documents library

 

File name: Legs Eggs Pigs with Macros 2010

 

Save as type: Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook

 

Click on Save.

 

Then Close the Macro-Enabled file Legs Eggs Pigs with Macros 2010.
