SmartArt and Graphics

The previous lesson focused on working with pictures and introduced the Picture Tools: Design and Format. The next pages work with Shapes and SmartArt: two more methods to picture the data. This lesson will introduce several new Ribbons. As you identify and practice the options, notice how many of the Shape and WordArt Styles are the same on all of the Ribbons.

The topic for this Level is Visualizing the Data. This lesson concludes with a review of the options on the View Ribbon that you can use in a spreadsheet. When you are ready, please Start the Program Microsoft Excel.

What do you see, from the top of the screen? Is there a Title Bar that says Microsoft Excel? Yes.

Is there a Home Ribbon with the Clipboard, Font and Alignment Groups? Yes.

If your screen looks like the example on this page, then you are ready to get started.
