Mail Options: Compose

By default, Microsoft Outlook composes rich E-mail messages in the HTML format.

 

HTML means Hyper Text Markup Language. It is the design language for the Internet. So, the E-mail messages can be formatted like web pages, as we did with an E-mail Blast in a previous lesson.

 

4. Try it: Review the Message Format

The Outlook Options are open.

The Mail Category is selected.

Go to Compose Messages.

Select a format: HTML

 
What Do You See? E-mail messages can also be formatted with Rich Text (all of the Font and Paragraph formatting available in Word) or Plain Text.
