1. Try This: Review the Quick Tables

Go to Insert->Table.

Go to Quick Tables.

What Do You See?  The Quick Tables surprised me. I did not expect to see a calendar. However a calendar is, indeed, organized in rows and columns.

 

In addition to the calendar templates the Quick Tables menu includes:

Double Tables (Cross tab)

Matrix

Tabular Lists

Tables with Subheadings.

 

2. Try This Too: Insert a Quick Table

Go to Insert->Table.

Go to Quick Tables.

Click on Calendar 2.
