Picture Styles

One of the best features in Microsoft Office 2010 is the Picture Styles. You can use the Picture Styles to format your picture with a border, shadow, or a reflection.

Try This: Use the Picture Styles

Go to Picture Tools ->Format.

Go to Picture Styles.

What Do You See? Microsoft Word offers a Live Preview of the Picture Styles. You may want to try some the Artistic Effects such as Pencil, Line Art or Watercolor.

Some of the picture options will work with your picture and some won't. If it doesn't look good, you can always Reset the picture and return to the original image that you started with.

Memo to Self: William Alexander was a famous oil painter who taught on Public Television. He taught, "Light on light gives you nothing. Dark on dark gives you nothing. You need dark on light!”
