Prepare to Share

Microsoft Access is a wonderful program for gathering and tracking data. Once we mastered Forms and Queries for data entry, we spent a lot of time formatting the output from our database as receipts, reports and even customer letters. How can we share this information with customers and businesses who do not have a copy of our Mighty Access database?

This lesson looks at ways to export the data out of Microsoft Access.

First, we'll analyze the data with two different methods: a Crosstab Query and a PivotChart. The Crosstab Query presents the data in a Table. The PivotChart analyzes data visually.

Then, we'll export the data into formats that we can share and send by E-mail: Word, Excel, XPS and PDF files.
