Done and Done!

The goal of this lesson was to split an Access database into two databases-Tables and User Interface-to deploy the database for multi-users.

We used two methods to achieve the same results: by hand, and with the Database Splitter. In both examples, the databases were linked and  the Linked Table Manager was used to refresh the links.

We also reviewed the Access Options for the General, Datasheet, Object Designers, Client Settings, and the Quick Access Toolbar.

Security was addressed. There was a discussion on how to open a database Exclusively and Encrypt it with a Password.

Finally, a little database maintenance. We walked through the steps to Compact and Repair a database.

Done and done. really. It's done.

Memo to Self: You can program the database to Compact and Repair each time it is closed. The option can be found in File->Options->Current Database.
