Hello, Slicers!

2. What Do You See? At the top of the Slicers is a Header. Next to the name on the Header is a Filter.

Below the Header you should see a list of Items. You can use the Items to filter your data. To the right of the Item list, on the scroll bar, is the Clear Filter button. Look for three lines stacked like a Slicer.

So, How Do They Work? By default, new Slicers display all of the data. If you click on a Item in the Slicer-say Breakfast Buffet-the PivotTable and PivotChart will show only the data for Breakfast Platters.

Memo to Self: You can select more than one Item by holding the CONTROL key on your keyboard as you click on the Items.
