Another Way to Name a Range

You can use the Name Box to select and name a Range. Here are the steps.

 

4. Try This: Define a Named Range

The sample spreadsheet is open.

Go to the Original Data sheet.

Place your cursor in the Name Box.
Type: D1:D58

Hit the ENTER key on your keyboard.
The data in Column D should be selected.

 

5. Try This, Too: Name a Range

Place your cursor in the Name Box.

Type: QuantitySold

Hit the ENTER key on your keyboard.

 

What Do You See? The QuantitySold should be in the Name Box.
