Basic Text Formatting

Basic, or Plain Text, formatting is compatible with most E-mail programs, including Gmail (Google) and Hotmail (Microsoft). Basic Text makes key words big, bold and colorful.

 

2. Try it: Format with Basic Text

A new, untitled Message is open.

Enter the following text in the Message Box:

Basic Text can be formatted:

Charlotte's Website

 

Select the text: Charlotte's Website.

Go to Message ->Basic Text->Font.

Select a Font: Tahoma

 

Go to Message ->Basic Text->Size.

Select a Size: 48

 

Go to Message ->Basic Text->Color.

Select a Color: Blue
 

Enter your E-mail Address.

Enter the Subject: Basic Text.

Click Send. An E-mail with Basic Formatting should arrive in your Inbox.  Keep going...
