When you save a spreadsheet as a PDF, you will be prompted to browse to a folder to save your new PDF file. Here are the options

Optimize the PDF

Microsoft Excel offer two levels of resolution for the PDF file: Standard and Minimum. The Standard format has a higher resolution for graphics so that the images will print well. The Minimum format compromises on image size and quality to reduce the file size and make the downloads faster.

 
The completed PDF file will open in Adobe Acrobat, a free reader program that is installed on all PCs.

 

Memo to Self: A workbook that was saved as a PDf file will NOT open in Excel, again.
